Want Your Art to be Featured in Glenshire Abbey? |
It’s easier than you think…
We’re looking for artwork to include in Glenshire Abbey, and if you’re an up and coming artist, we’d like to utilize your talents, and give you a little free advertising in the process. Since we are but a humble and fledgling company, we’re not exactly at the point where we can pay crazy money for commissions. But what we can do, however, is provide a forum for some rising stars that are looking to get their names out there. If we use your art, we’ll include your contact information in a special credit section of the book. And not some little rinky-dink blurb in a font that requires a magnifying glass to read; we’re going to include a little something about you as the artist, a link to your personal website/online gallery and your email address to help get your name out there. You’re helping us out, and we’d like to return the favor.
And, if your art kicks impossible amounts of booty, there’s a very good chance that we’ll commission you for some official pieces here and there. We’d like to do some posters, for example, as well as some future supplements. And hell, truth be told, we’re still trying to get our cover design nailed down.

The 'Style' of Glenshire Abbey |
So, what sort of art are we looking for? While there certainly is an anime feel to Gleshire and Illordia, don’t feel pigeon-holed into the style. In conversation we’ve described it as Fantasy with Modern Sensibilities, if that makes any sense. Sure, there’s the whole swords and sorcery basis of it all, but definitely with a more light-hearted tone.
To help out, here’s a few things that we like in regards to art style and overall look-
Soul Calibur
The Final Fantasy Series
Fred Perry’s Gold Digger
Record of Lodoss War
The Slayers
We’ll periodically post up little tidbits about the world- NPC’s, locations, etc- to help get your creative minds going. Keep an eye on our Design Notes section for information from time to time.

The Details |
The book itself is going to be in black and white, but we will have an online gallery that will feature your art in its full-color glory. Feel free to submit art to us in color- we’ll take care of the conversions.
The deadline for submissions is Saturday, July 31st 2010. We’re aiming to have this available online and on shelves by the end of the year.
Submissions should be emailed to mani@lazer-ent.com. Please include your name (or alias), as well as a little blurb about yourself (about three sentences or so). It doesn’t have to be anything stuffy and formal, but please keep it clean- this will go in the book! Also, if you’ve got a website or an online gallery, give us that link too, so that we may properly pimp your talents.
